I launched this site because there doesn’t seem to be a great official site for Trent (probably for some good reason), but I feel like more people should know about his books.
Boy Swallows Universe is a magnificent book. It hits home for me because part of it is set in my my own backyard – north Brisbane. For me, it also captures the way life teeters on the collective edges of comfort, fragility, despair, tragedy and beauty that I felt when I was a kid growing up in rural southern Queensland.
Lola in the Mirror gives a voice to an issue that despite its focus and attention is only getting worse. That’s why I’m donating 10% of any affiliate sales made from this website to The Lady Musgrave Trust, a women’s homelessness charity that gives women a way back from the darkness.
